What Are Time Lords?

In Hellenistic astrology, "Time Lords" are the planets that govern specific periods of your life. At any given moment, certain planets are "activated" — their natal significations come to the foreground, and transits to those planets carry extra weight.

This isn't the modern concept of "planetary transits" alone. Time Lord techniques are natal-based timing systems — they unfold from the chart itself, revealing a pre-existing rhythm that transits then trigger and color.

Annual Profections

The simplest and most elegant timing technique. Starting from the rising sign at birth, the chart "profects" one whole sign per year. At age 0, the 1st house is activated. At age 1, the 2nd. At age 12, you're back to the 1st.

The planet that rules the profected sign becomes the Lord of the Year — and transits to that planet, and from that planet, become the most important transits of the year.
